So today Bernie Ecclestone has come out and given an interview with Sky Sports. He discussed many things happening in F1 so here I will explain his main views.
He isn't confident that Mclaren will renew Lewis Hamilton's contract when it runs out due to the turbulent season Lewis had last year.
He also believes it will take Mclaren at least 3 years to seriously challenge for the constructors championship.
Ecclestone also says the Australian grand prix could be in jeopardy after 2015. He say's because the race is always very early in the morning it doesn't pull in the viewing figures, Bernie says a way to solve this would be a night race so watch this space for any news on that.

Final testing
F1 Drivers begin final phase of pre-season testing.
Today is the start of the final chance to drive the cars before it becomes serious. March 17th will be the start of practice for the Australian Grand Prix.
It will be an exciting season for F1, due to the FIA rule changes that have been imposed regarding the ride height at the front of the car. This has caused teams to design completely new looking car noses.
So far Mclaren have been the only team to use the 'curved nose design'. It will be interesting as this can go either way. Mclaren can either admit they designed the wrong nose or they could replicate brawns success in 2009 and have a much better car.
Testing in previous years hasn't given a true replication of how fast the cars will be come the season opening and we expect that to be the same this year.
However one thing that testing does seem to have shown us is Ferrari are struggling. They have been off the pace that they were hoping to set and the most successful constructors in F1 could struggle come the season opener in Melbourne.

This blog will look at all these issues, along with previews and analysis of each race.
Follow me and enjoy as we see who is the best driver and best constructor for 2012.
