F1 Drivers begin final phase of pre-season testing.
Today is the start of the final chance to drive the cars before it becomes serious. March 17th will be the start of practice for the Australian Grand Prix.
It will be an exciting season for F1, due to the FIA rule changes that have been imposed regarding the ride height at the front of the car. This has caused teams to design completely new looking car noses.
So far Mclaren have been the only team to use the 'curved nose design'. It will be interesting as this can go either way. Mclaren can either admit they designed the wrong nose or they could replicate brawns success in 2009 and have a much better car.
Testing in previous years hasn't given a true replication of how fast the cars will be come the season opening and we expect that to be the same this year.
However one thing that testing does seem to have shown us is Ferrari are struggling. They have been off the pace that they were hoping to set and the most successful constructors in F1 could struggle come the season opener in Melbourne.
